Andrew Bernstein, MSRE, is the President and founder of Macro Realty Advisors, LLC, which he launched and has successfully grown since 2010. With a Master's of Science in Real Estate from the esteemed John's Hopkins Carey Business School, Andrew brings over 20 years of experience as a Certified General Appraiser in multiple states. Throughout his career, he has appraised a vast portfolio of commercial real estate, totaling several hundred billion dollars, spanning across continents and nearly every state in the US. His expertise has been sought by prominent entities such as REITs, Private Equity Funds, Pension Funds, Lenders, Developers, and Investors.

Andrew's comprehensive valuation experience encompasses a diverse range of purposes, including financing, financial reporting (ASC 805 Purchase Price Allocations), trust and estates, federal government agencies, special servicers, tax appeals, bankruptcies, and restructuring. Prior to establishing Macro Realty Advisors, LLC, Andrew honed his skills at renowned valuation firms, including Fortune 500 companies, large privately held enterprises, and local boutique appraisal firms. He has also taken on managerial roles, successfully mentoring and guiding junior appraisers.

Complementing his educational background, Andrew holds a Bachelor's of Science in Finance from Dominican College in NY, where he earned a scholarship while competing as part of the Division 2 Lacrosse team. Additionally, he is an alumnus of the prestigious New York Military Academy, having been awarded a Blue Ribbon Scholarship for academics and lacrosse. During his time at the academy, Andrew excelled as a lacrosse player, leading his team to league championships, earning the title of All League MVP, and ranking highly in face-offs and scoring. Beyond his professional pursuits, he is a seasoned musician, having played the bass guitar for over 25 years and having recorded and performed with various bands in and around NYC and Charlotte, NC.

He can often be found exploring the country's state and national parks, indulging in his love for hiking and camping. • Played a key role in the $8.5 billion TD Bank/Commerce Bank Acquisition, participating in the appraisal of 506 banks nationwide.

• Conducted appraisals for 900 farms and single-family residences in Illinois for a proposed power line easement.

• Provided an Appraisal Review for The Plaza Hotel in NYC.

• Conducted an appraisal review of The Dream Hotel in NYC.

• Led the development and launch of the national real estate platform for a multi-billion-dollar public accounting firm in NYC. Streamlined internal audit review processes, created ASC 805 PPA real estate Excel models and reports, and designed Restricted Use and Appraisal Report Excel Templates/Word Reports.

• Assisted in the appraisal of a portfolio consisting of 22 healthcare facilities across New York State.

• During his time in Business School, he worked for an FHA Mortgagee, facilitating the underwriting and closing of $100 million in FHA insured mortgages for large apartment complexes ranging from 100 to 500 units.

• Successfully underwrote, marketed, and sold a 443-unit self-storage facility while working as a commercial real estate broker for the largest publicly traded real estate investment brokerage in the US.
